Recipe of the Day: Quiche Lorraine

This Quiche Lorraine takes 5 minutes to put together and shove in the oven.

Everything you’ll need to make this easy Quiche Lorraine

  • 4 large eggs
  • 300 g milk
  • 50 g melted and cooled butter
  • 70 g self-rising flour
  • 160 g shredded cheese
  • 4 white mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 2 spring onions, finely chopped
  • 1 small red bell pepper, Florina pepper, finely chopped
  • 3 slices of ham, finely chopped
Instructions
  1. Butter a 24 cm tart pan and preheat the convection oven to 180ºC.
  2. In a bowl, whisk the eggs thoroughly.
  3. Add the milk and melted butter to the eggs, mixing until well combined.
  4. Stir in the self-rising flour and whisk until smooth.
  5. Add the chopped mushrooms, spring onions, bell pepper, ham, and shredded cheese to the mixture.
  6. Stir everything together to evenly distribute the ingredients.
  7. Pour the mixture into the buttered tart pan.
  8. Bake on the middle rack for about 35 minutes, until the tart is set in the middle and golden brown on top.
  9. Let the tart rest for 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
