Everything you’ll need to make these crispy chicken drumsticks

  • 12 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 container yogurt (200 g)
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 2 pinches nutmeg
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter, divided into small pieces

Instructions:

  1. Place the chicken drumsticks in a heatproof dish.
  2. Add the yogurt and mix well, ensuring the drumsticks are fully coated.
  3. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 4 to 24 hours for best flavor.
  4. In a bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, paprika, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
  5. Mix thoroughly.
  6. Take each marinated drumstick and roll it in the breadcrumb mixture until evenly coated.
  7. Place the coated drumsticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Place a small piece of butter on top of each drumstick.
  9. At this stage, you can cover the tray and refrigerate it if preparing in advance.
  10. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
  11. Bake the drumsticks for 45 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  12. Ensure the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 75°C (165°F) for safe consumption.
  13. Let the drumsticks cool slightly and serve hot with your favorite side dishes like roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
