Ingredients
- 2½ cups flour
- 1⅓ cups sugar
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 vanilla extracts
- 2 pinches of salt
- 1 cup water
- 100 grams orange juice
- 130 grams vegetable oil
- 100 grams grated couverture chocolate
- Icing sugar
- Cocoa powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 170°C.
- Grease a cake pan and line the bottom and sides with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, vanilla extracts, and salt.
- Whisk to blend the ingredients.
- In another bowl, mix the water, orange juice, and vegetable oil.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.
- Gently mix until just combined.
- Add the grated chocolate and lightly stir with a spoon
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes, until the cake pulls away from the sides of the pan and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan before removing.
- Once cool, remove from the pan and sprinkle with icing sugar and cocoa powder before serving.
