Ingredients
For the dough:
- 1 batch of ready-made pizza dough
- A little flour for rolling out
For the filling:
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 200 g grated mozzarella
- 6 thin slices of ham
- A few fresh basil leaves
Instructions
- On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough with a rolling pin, sprinkling flour as needed. The dough should be very thin.
- Spread spoonfuls of tomato sauce over the entire surface of the pizza.
- Place the ham in very thin slices, leaving a 2 cm border around the edge of the dough.
- Sprinkle with mozzarella, reserving 2 to 3 tbsp of grated mozzarella for the end.
- Add the fresh basil leaves.
- Fold the sides of the dough inward by about 1/3, almost to the middle of the dough.
- Brush the folded side of the dough with a little tomato sauce.
- Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella.
- Fold again to form a wide roll.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the pizza seam-side down on the baking sheet.
- Brush with a little olive oil.
- Lightly poke a few holes in the surface of the dough.
- Bake in a well-preheated oven at 180°C on the middle rack for about 30 minutes until the pizza roll is well browned.
- Let it stand for a few minutes and cut into thick slices.
- Enjoy the pizza warm with a salad.
