Chicken Strips Information

Ingredients
- 700 g of chicken breast
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- A pinch of nutmeg
- Salt
- Freshly ground pepper
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Sesame oil for frying
Instructions
- Cut the breasts into long strips or small pieces.
- In a food bag, combine the flour with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- Place the beaten eggs in a shallow dish.
- Mix the breadcrumbs with the Parmesan cheese in a separate bowl. Spread the mixture on a non-stick paper-lined tray.
- Coat the chicken pieces well with flour mixture.
- Dip each piece into the beaten egg, let excess drip off, and then coat with the breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture.
- Place them on the oiled tray until all pieces are coated.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes to set the coating for the chicken strips.
On the stove
- Heat 3 tablespoons of sesame oil in a shallow non-stick pan over medium to high heat. Fry for 3 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and fry for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
In the oven
- Alternatively, preheat the oven to 200°C and place a baking sheet to warm up. Brush it with oil and arrange the breaded sticks. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden, then flip and bake for another 8 minutes or until cooked through. Serve with homemade ketchup.
