Ingredients
- 400 g Brussels sprouts
- 3 tbsp finely chopped onion
- 2 thick slices of bacon (chopped)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
- 2 tbsp balsamic cream
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan or Parmesan shavings (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the convection oven to 200°C.
- Wash and dry the Brussels sprouts.
- Cut them in half lengthwise and place them in a baking tray.
- Sprinkle the sprouts with salt, pepper, chopped onion, and bacon.
- Drizzle with olive oil and toss everything together with your hands to ensure even coating.
- Spread the mixture in a single layer on the tray to ensure even roasting.
- Place the tray in the preheated oven and roast for 30 minutes until the Brussels sprouts are golden and the bacon is crispy.
- Stir once halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- Remove the tray from the oven and drizzle the roasted Brussels sprouts with balsamic cream. Toss gently to coat.
- Serve hot as a side dish with roasted meat or poultry, or enjoy them on their own as an appetizer.
- Garnish with Parmesan shavings or grated Parmesan for a delicious finish.
