A DHL cargo plane crashed early Monday morning near Vilnius airport in Lithuania, resulting in one death and two injuries, according to officials from the airport, police, and fire services.
Authorities are still searching for the fourth passenger of the plane.
A representative from the National Crisis Management Center reported that the plane, operated by Spanish airline SWIFT on behalf of DHL, had departed from Leipzig Airport in Germany at around 2:30 local time and crashed into a residential house about an hour and a half later, a few minutes before its scheduled landing.

All 12 residents were successfully evacuated from the house.
A few hours after the crash, firefighters were observed dousing smoke rising from a building approximately 1.3 km north of the airport runway in Vilnius. A significant police and ambulance presence was noted in the area, with several major streets nearby cordoned off.
The cause of the crash remains unknown and an investigation is ongoing.
