The deadly fires that have been raging uncontrollably in and around the city of Los Angeles in the United States over the past few days have destroyed more than 1,000 homes. The area, which is dotted with mansions belonging to movie stars, has resulted in many celebrities losing their homes.

Famous stars, including Billy Crystal and Paris Hilton, are among the people who have lost their homes in the deadly fires raging in the Los Angeles area.

Some of the worst destruction occurred in the picturesque enclave of Pacific Palisades, where a firestorm that began on Tuesday, covering a few hundred acres, has spread to more than 15,000 acres.

Famous celebrities Jennifer Aniston, Bradley Cooper, Tom Hanks, Reese Witherspoon, Adam Sandler, and Michael Keaton are also said to have homes in Pacific Palisades.

Devastating photos show that the home of Anthony Hopkins was also lost, with the Oscar-winning actor’s property having completely been reduced to rubble.

Actor James Woods, who starred in films like Nixon and Casino, burst into in tears on CNN as he described the loss of his home in Pacific Palisades. “One day you’re swimming in the pool, and the next day, everything is gone,” he told the network.

Actor Billy Crystal said in a statement that he and his wife, Janice, were “devastated” by the loss of their home in Pacific Palisades, where they had lived since 1979.

The When Harry Met Sally star said in his statement: “We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our home was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can’t be taken away. We are, of course, devastated, but with the love of our children and friends, we will get through this.”

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton stated that she lost her home in Malibu, while she expressed her devastation in an Instagram post: “Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground live on TV is something no one should ever have to experience.”

The catastrophic fire that has been burning in and around L.A. has unfortunately resulted in at least five people losing their lives, dozens having been injured, and around 130,000 residents having been forced to evacuate their homes, while thousands of animals have perished and even more have lost their natural habitats.
