A strong earthquake has struck central Myanmar on Friday, estimated at 7.7 magnitude by the United States Geological Survey (USGS), as reported by Reuters.
The earthquake has affected Bangkok as well, with hundreds of people pouring out of buildings in the Thai capital in panic after the tremors.
There are no reports out of Myanmar on damage after the quake, and the situation is still developing.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said has estimated the quake at 7.7 magnitude and a depth of 10 km (6.2 miles).
Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, is a Southeast Asian country bordered by India, China, Thailand, Laos, and Bangladesh
