Prophesies and doomsday predictions about the end of the world abound, whenever humanity is in tumultuous times. So it is no surprise that a new text has emerged forecasting the end times are near. A nearly 900-year-old religious text filled with prophecies has resurfaced—and it supposedly reveals the exact date of Judgment Day in 2027.
Uncovered in the deep secret vaults in the Vatican, this religious text is attributed to Prophet Malachy, who, sometime in the 12th century, allegedly wrote the infamous “Prophecy of the Popes”. This cryptic masterpiece, filled with Latin phrases, supposedly predicts every Pope from 1143 up to the current one—Pope Francis.
According to biblical tradition, Judgment Day is the cataclysmic moment when Jesus returns to earth to judge the living and the dead.
The “Prophecy of the Popes” consists of 112 short, puzzling statements. In 1595, a Benedictine monk named Arnold Wion claimed to have found the prophecy in the Vatican archives.
The most dramatic part of the prophecy speaks of a mysterious figure, Peter the Roman, who will lead during times of great tribulation until the City of Seven Hills (Rome) is destroyed, and the Dreaded Judge appears for the final casting call.
Interpretations vary. Some believe Pope Francis, who struggles with respiratory issues, is the last Pope. Others argue that Peter is on his way to take the throne. And, of course, in 2024, a documentary emerged, connecting all the dots and making everything seem crystal clear—all thanks to a passage from Pope Sixtus V in 1585.
If Pope Sixtus V was at the midpoint of the prophecy and took office 442 years after the first Pope…Then the world should end another 442 years after him, namely, in the year 2027.
