United Airlines Announces New Athens-New York Flights

The airline said its weekly flights to New York/Newark airport would increase from 7 to 10

United Airlines announced it will be expanding its seasonal flights from the U.S. to Athens for the summer of 2025.

The airline said its weekly flights to New York/Newark airport would increase from 7 to 10 (pending the relevant government approvals) and that it will also be resuming flights to the New York/Newark and Chicago O’Hare hubs three weeks earlier next year.

The total number of seats offered by United on flights from Greece to the U.S. will increase by nearly 30% for summer 2025.

One year after launching its Athens-Chicago O’Hare route in May 2024, United will begin using a state-of-the-art Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner on the route, offering over 30% more seats than the Boeing 787-8 used till now.

This expansion is part of United’s largest international expansion ever, with the addition of eleven new flights and eight new destinations.
