No fewer than seven routes connecting major cities in the United States with Athens will operate this coming summer season, linking the Greek capital with New York City, New Jersey, Washington D.C., Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago and Atlanta.
Delta Airlines, American Airlines and new low-cost carrier Norse Atlantic Airways will connect NYC’s JFK airport with the Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” (AIA). The latter carrier has announced five flights a week from May to October 2024.
Emirates operates flights connecting Newark Liberty with AIA all year round, with United Airlines beginning seasonal flights to and from Athens in March 2024. The same carrier will also field routes from Dulles Airport in Washington to Athens between April and October 2024.
Starting in April 2024, Delta will also operate a daily route from Boston’s Logan Airport to AIA.
American Airlines will offer daily flights from Chicago’s busy O’Hare to Athens from May to October 2024, with a new route by United, also from Chicago, also scheduled on a daily basis from May to August 2024.
Finally, Delta will connect the American South with Greece via daily direct flights from Atlanta, Georgia, beginning in March 2024.
