The US-based international hotel company Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, which already has a presence in Greece, is looking to further expand its footprint in the country.
With a current portfolio of thirteen properties in Greece, Wyndham’s regional director for southern and eastern Europe, Vassilis Themelidis, said the chain is close to announcing another one, according to reports at OT.gr.
Themelidis did not tell OT.gr who the deal is with, but he did say that as Wyndham eyes more properties, it will be focusing on less popular destinations on the mainland as well as on the Greek islands.
Moreover, it will try to bring new brands to Greece and is considering expanding on its branded residences concept.
Existing properties will hopefully be integrated into Wyndham brands like the Trademark Collection by Wyndham and Registry Collection hotels, pending they fit the necessary criteria, explained Themelidis.
Wyndham is the largest hotel franchising company in the world, with 9,200 hotels in 95 countries on 6 continents.
