This year’s Spetses Classic Yacht Regatta has kicked off and will run until June 29, 2024, on the island of Spetses.
The international sailing event was established in 2011 and is considered to be one of the most popular races of its kind in the country and a significant event in the Mediterranean.
Organized by the Yacht Club of Greece, and with the support of the island’s famous Poseidonian Grand Hotel for 2024, the regatta features classic and traditional boats, including wooden sailboats, caïques, and Latin rigs.
Participants from Greece and abroad compete in high-level sailing races, celebrating the noble spirit of competition and the art of wooden boatbuilding.
