The island of Ios, in the middle of the Aegean Sea, as part of the Cyclades chain, has once again attracted global media attention as a standout destinations for the 2024 season.
The Italian edition of Vanity Fair recommends Ios as an escape from the ordinary, highlighting its dual appeal of vibrant nightlife and numerous beaches.
Additionally, the popular Italian travel website lauds Ios for its remarkable attractions, including the early Bronze Age settlement of Skarkos and the historic Church of Aghia (St.) Theodoti, built in the 16th century on the ruins of an ancient temple of Apollo, as well as the fortress with its enchanting view.
Meanwhile, Conde Nast Traveller hails Ios as the ultimate haven for sun worshippers and beach enthusiasts, praising its numerous sandy beaches and diverse recreational activities, including diving.
Antonis Mettos, president of the Ios tourism committee, said the island’s administration has been working to showcase its full range of attractions, including cuisine, activities, the Ios Festival and historical heritage.
