Global aviation and tourism trends, consumer preferences, sustainable travel, and new challenges will be discussed during the CAPA Airline Leader Summit – “Airlines in Transition” to take place in Athens on May 8-9.
The two-day event, organized by aviation and travel industry intelligence provider CAPA, brings to Athens senior executives from the aviation and tourism sectors, academics, public policy experts, and leading analysts who will discuss issues affecting the industry. Interviews with airline CEOs, panel discussions with industry leaders, keynote speeches, industry analysis presentations, Q&A sessions with the audience, and other events will highlight the challenges ahead.
The event will also focus on ways companies are adapting their business models and decision-making processes to new conditions, economic trends, demographics, geopolitics, and global trade, and their impact on the travel ecosystem.
“The CAPA Airline Leader Summit – Airlines in Transition is a highlight of CAPA’s event calendar. Athens, as a strategic aviation hub both regionally and globally, is the ideal location to host industry representatives and this event,” said Claudia Kunz, CAPA Director of Events, revealing that the conference will be held in Vouliagmeni, on the Athenian Riviera.
Also commenting on the news, Athens International Airport CEO Yannis Paraschis underlined the importance of bringing the CAPA Airline Leader Summit to Greece and Athens. “This conference aims to be a platform for creative dialogue. From the urgent need for sustainability and decarbonization in air transport to promoting economic growth and connectivity, the discussions are expected to be pivotal,” he said.
