Air Arabia Expands Direct Flights from Greece to Gulf Countries

Air Arabia, which recently inaugurated its first flight connecting Athens International Airport with Sharjah International Airport, is expected to bring a new dynamic to air travel between Athens and the United Arab Emirates.

Air Arabia will operate four direct weekly flights every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday to Athens International Airport, further enhancing connectivity not only between Athens and the UAE but also with the Gulf region, India, Thailand, and other countries in Asia.

The reception ceremony for Air Arabia’s inaugural flight took place at Athens International Airport, attended by Adel Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of the Air Arabia Group, as well as senior executives and dignitaries.

Greece’s Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni warmly welcomed the commencement of these flights during her speech at the official gala dinner.

Adel Abdullah Al Ali emphasized the significance of this new route, expanding Air Arabia’s EU network which already includes Milan and Krakow. The service aims to offer travelers from the UAE and beyond enhanced travel options to explore Greece, with a focus on comfort and affordability.

Air Arabia operates a modern fleet of 74 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft equipped with ‘SkyTime’, a complimentary in-flight streaming service, and ‘SkyCafe’, providing cost-effective onboard catering.

Additionally, the airline offers ‘Air Rewards’, a rewards program enabling passengers to earn, transfer, and redeem points seamlessly.
