Notre-Dame Cathedral

The painting, created by a monk from Mount Athos, depicts the Virgin Mary as "Queen of the Bees", to commemorate the miraculous survival of approximately 200,000 bees during the catastrophic 2019 Notre Dame fire

The reopening of the Notre-Dame Cathedral will begin next Saturday with a speech by President Macron, followed by a ceremonial knocking on the cathedral’s doors by Archbishop Laurent Ulrich
