The focus shifts to lesser-known, high-quality destinations that could become favorites among Norwegian tourists.

Local authorities in the far north of Norway, close to the North Pole, and on the border to Russia, have filed an unusual request to the EU Commission. They have asked for permission to establish a new time zone where the day has 26 hours instead of the usual 24.
