Trump has nominated Kimberly Guilfoyle as U.S. Ambassador to Greece, though she has a checkered career history.

“Her experience in law, media, and politics makes her uniquely qualified to represent America and advance our interests abroad,” a statement from Greek Americans for Trump noted.

Trump added that Guilfoyle’s appointment would strengthen bilateral relations with Greece, particularly in defense cooperation, trade, and economic innovation.
