The Greek Air Traffic Controllers Association has confirmed its involvement in the strike, meaning air traffic services will be severely impacted throughout the day.

The reinstatement of holiday bonuses has been an ongoing demand of public sector workers’ unions, and now the battle is set to continue both in the courts and in Greece’s parliament. 

Greece's largest public sector trade union has submitted a formal request to the Council of State to examine the possibility of reinstating holiday bonuses for public sector workers.
