Athens water shortage

Amid prolonged drought and ongoing water supply issues, EYDAP (Athens Water Supply and Sewerage Company) has initiated a preliminary study to transfer water from two rivers that flow into Kremasta Lake

Water utility providers will be able to increase charges based on demand, climate, environmental, geographical and social conditions.

No restrictions are necessary yet, experts say, but alternative water sources are being sought and people advised to be mindful.
