Olympic gold medal long jumper Miltos Tentoglou is among the 10 candidates for top male European athlete of 2024, according to European Athletics.
The Greek champion continues to shine after his first-place performance at the recent Paris Olympic Games, while picking up another gold at the European long jump competition, the world indoor long jump championship and serving as the top long jump champion in competition, with a perfomance of 8.65 meters.
Other candidates are Lithuania’s Mykolas Alekna (discus); Spain’s Jordan Diaz (triple jump); Sweden’s Armand Duplantis (pole vault); Italy’s Leonardo Fabbri (shot put); the UK’s Matthew Hudson-Smith (400m); last year’s top European athlete, Norway’s Jakob Ingebrigtsen (1500 and 5000m); another Norwegian, Markus Rooth (decathlon); Italy’s Gianmarco Tamberi (high jump), and Norway’s Karsten Warholm (400m hurdles).
