PAOK FC will face Romania’s Steaua Bucharest in the knockout play-offs of the UEFA Europa League competition after today’s draw.

According to UEFA’s schedule, the first legs of the play-offs will take place on February 13, with PAOK hosting the match at Toumba Stadium in Thessaloniki, while the return leg is set for February 20 in Bucharest.

PAOK previously faced the Romanian side at Toumba during the League Phase, suffering a 1-0 defeat. The Romanian team also played against Olympiacos Piraeus at Bucharest during the League Phase, with the Steaua holding the UEFA Conference League titleholders to a goalless draw.

Olympiacos has learned the possible matchups for the Europa League Round of 16. The Reds will face either the winner of the Dutch Twente (Holland) vs. Bodø/Glimt (Norway) clash or the victor of the Fenerbahçe (Turkey) vs. Anderlecht (Belgium) tie.

Last night Olympiacos FC thrashed Azerbaijan’s Qarabağ 3-0 on Thursday evening at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium to earn a direct qualification to the Europa League round of 16 by finishing 7th in the League phase of Europa League play with 15 points.

The “Reds” stellar Moroccan striker Ayoub El-Kaabi opened the scoring in the 56th minute and doubled the lead to 2-0 in the 60th minute. French defender Giulian Biancone added a third goal for the Piraeus side in the 89th minute by putting a rebound into the net.
