Panathinaikos BC clinched their 21st Greek Cup title after defeating “eternal rivals” and reigning Cup holders Olympiacos BC in the final on Sunday evening in Heraklion, Crete.
Fielding star-studded line-ups, including former NBAers Kendric Nunn, Jerian Grant, Evan Fournier and Sasha Vezenkov, the two European powerhouses battled it out in a nail-biting game, which saw the Greens prevail 79-75.
Sloukas scored 17 points with 5 assists, with Nunn adding another 17 points for the Greens. Hernangómez grabbed 17 rebounds, also contributing to his team’s score tally with 11 points.
The two teams will face each other in the Greek League and the Euroleague in the season.
