The evening was a major annual event for the Greek diaspora in New York, where the red-and-white passion was on full display. Attendees had the rare opportunity to see the two prestigious European trophies up close. Earlier in the day, the cups were also showcased at two Greek schools, where hundreds of children posed for photographs with them.

The celebrations will culminate on Sunday with the annual Greek Independence Day Parade on Fifth Avenue. Marinakis will again take center stage at the event, with Olympiacos’ European trophies taking a place of honor in the procession.
