Ireland-Greece 0-2: Greece Now 2-2 in Nations League (video)

The Greek National Team's goals were scored by Fotis Ioannidis and Christos Tzolis, leading Greece to its second consecutive win in the Nations League.

The Greek National Team beat out Ireland last night in Greece’s second game of the Nations League, scoring two goals while Ireland went home empty-handed.

Greece is now 2-2 as it previously won against Finland, as part of Group 2 of League B of the Nations League.

In Tuesday night’s game, Fotis Ioannidis scored the first goal for Greece in Dublin, in what has been characterized as “an incredible shot” from the edge of the box.

Greece’s performance in the first half was lacking, and Ireland slipped in a goal, but fortunately for Greece, it was disallowed.

Fotis Ioannidis then scored with a long-range shot with his left foot.

In the final minutes of the game, there were good efforts at a goal by both sides, but neither met with success, and it wrapped up Ireland-Greece 0-2.

Greece now sits at the top of the Nations League group, keeping company with England, who defeated the same opponents.

The Greek team will travel to England for their next match, where they will play against one of the favorites of the tournament, who reached two Euro Championship finals in a row. Both Greece and England are tied on points with a perfect record at the top of the table, with Greece having a one-goal advantage sitting at the top.
