Greece’s Emmanouíl Karalis picked up the bronze medal on Monday for the pole vault competition at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, jumping a near-best 5.90 meters.

Karalis’ third-place showing is the 31st medal won by Greek athletes in track and field events, and the 128th overall since the first modern Olympics in 1896.
