Greek football club Olympiacos’ historic victory over Fiorentina in the UEFA Europa Conference League final last month featured this week in Times Square in New York. Olympiacos FC is the first Greek club ever to win a European title.

Images of the Greek flag waving over ecstatic Olympiacos FC owner Evangelos Marinakis as he holds up the trophy traveled the world, showcased on Nasdaq billboard in Τimes Square and bringing a taste of Greece and Olympiacos FC smiles to New York.

Moroccan Ayoub El Kaabi scored the winning goal during extra time at the Europa Conference League football final on May 29, 2024 sending millions of Olympiacos fans into a frenzy.

Earlier last month, Google also paid tribute to Olympiacos’ victory with pop-up fireworks and a message of congratulations when users searched the team while international media and football

Olympiacos’ U-19 team was also crowned European champions after beating Milan 3-0 in Nyon, Switzerland, for the UEFA Youth League title earlier this year.
