Olympiacos FC thrashed Azerbaijan’s Qarabağ 3-0 on Thursday evening at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium to earn a direct qualification to the Europa League round of 16 by finishing 7th in the League phase of Europa League play with 15 points.
The “Reds” stellar Moroccan striker Ayoub El-Kaabi opened the scoring in the 56th minute, and doubled the lead to 2-0 in the 60th minute. French defender Giulian Biancone added a third goal for the Piraeus side in the 89th minute by putting a rebound into the net.

The popular Greek team, which won the Conference League title last season, will learn its opponent for the next phase on Friday.
Olympiacos was dominant throughout the match, missing opportunities for an even bigger score and posting an easy victory. The win means that José Luis Mendilibar’s team remains undefeated for a seventh straight European game.
Olympiacos fired off 23 shots on the night, with 10 on target, as opposed to Qarabag’s three shots on goal.
El-Kaabi is also the top scorer in the League Phase with seven goals.
