The demand for Greek football prospects is on the rise in Europe. After media reports across Europe that top European clubs were eyeing 17-year-old wonder-kid Konstantinos Karetsas from Belgian Racing Genk, including Bayern Munich, Napoli, and several other Premier League sides, following his stellar performance against Scotland for the Nations League, Theodoros Delianidis, 19, has landed a contract with Dutch football giants Feyenoord FC.

The Dutch club, currently sitting 3rd in the country’s top league, “Eredivisie,” announced last week they had agreed to terms with the Greek forward until mid-2027, with an option for an additional year. Deligiannidis, a youth international with Greece’s U19 national team, joined Feyenoord FC from PEC Zwolle and will be part of Feyenoord’s Under-21 squad starting next season.

“Joining a top club like Feyenoord is something very special for me,” said Deligiannidis to the media.

“I’ve had a good feeling from the conversations I’ve had with the club, and I can’t wait to show my qualities on the pitch after the summer break,” he added.

Born in Thessaloniki, Deligiannidis was raised in the Netherlands and spent the past few years in the youth academy of PEC Zwolle. Prior to that, he played at the amateur level for VV Meern, a club based in Utrecht.
