Olympics: Greek Athletes’ Itinerary on Day 1 of Competition

Day 1 of competition at the 2024 Olympics is packed with events in swimming, shooting, gymnastics, basketball, tennis and water polo

Following Friday’s first-ever “floating” Olympic Games opening ceremony – which received mixed reviews – Day 1 of competition at the Paris Olympics kicked off on Saturday with 13 medals up for grabs.
A number of Greek athletes are set to compete on day 1, the first of which is champion rower Stefanos Ntouskos who competed in the men’s single scull preliminaries and came in second, behind New Zealand’s Tom Mackintosh, thereby qualifying for the quarterfinals. Ntouskos won gold in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics (held in 2021), setting a new Olympic record in the process.
