Traffic restrictions will be implemented in central Athens as part of the weekend “This is Athens-City Festival” and the celebration of World Car-Free Day on Sunday.

From 8:00 pm on Saturday until 10:00 pm on Sunday, vehicular traffic and parking will be prohibited on the following streets in downtown Athens:

  • Athinas Street, between Evripidou and Ermou Streets in both directions, including side streets up to the first parallel.
  • Karagiorgi Servias Street, along its entire length.
  • Perikleous Street, along its entire length.
  • Athinaidos Street, along its entire length.
  • Aghia Eirinis Street, along its entire length.
  • Agion Asomaton square, between Sarri and Ermou Streets, in the direction towards Ermou.
  • Ermou Street, between Agion Asomaton and Athinas Streets, in the direction towards Athinas.

Authorities urge drivers to avoid these streets during the specified times to prevent additional traffic issues.
