The weather in Greece will generally be clear across most of Greece on Friday, with some scattered clouds and possible rains on Crete in the afternoon. That being said, weather in and around the Aegean Sea will be characterized by very strong winds.
Winds will blow from the north: 3 to 5 Beaufort in the west, 6 to 7 in the east, and locally in the southwest Aegean up to 7-8 Beaufort during the morning hours, gradually weakening from midday onward, says Greece’s meteorological service (EMY).
In Athens, temperatures will not exceed 24°C, while in Thessaloniki, they will reach up to 22°C. No significant temperature change is expected, reaching 22-23°C in the north, 23-25°C in other areas, and up to 26°C in the Dodecanese.

In Macedonia and Thrace, the weather will feature scattered clouds, with northerly winds blowing at 3-4 Beaufort, and northeastern winds reaching 4-5 Beaufort in the east. Temperatures will range from 9 to 23°C, with readings 3-4 degrees lower in western Macedonia.
The Ionian Islands, Epirus, western Sterea, and western Peloponnese can expect generally clear skies, though scattered clouds will develop in northern areas by the afternoon. Winds will be northerly to northeasterly at 3-5 Beaufort, and temperatures will range from 10 to 25°C, with the interior of Epirus seeing slightly cooler conditions, 3-4 degrees lower.
In eastern Sterea, Evia, and eastern Peloponnese, the weather will be partly cloudy, particularly in Evia and the northern areas of eastern Sterea, where there is a chance of light, localized rain until midday. Conditions will then turn mostly clear. Winds will blow from the north-northeast at 4-6 Beaufort, reaching up to 7 Beaufort in the east until midday. Temperatures will hover between 12 and 24°C.
The Cyclades will enjoy generally clear skies, while Crete will have temporary clouds with light, localized rain until the afternoon. Northerly to northeasterly winds will reach 6-7 Beaufort, gradually weakening from the afternoon. Temperatures will range from 16 to 23°C, reaching up to 25°C in southern Crete.
The eastern Aegean Islands and the Dodecanese will experience generally clear weather, with some scattered clouds in the north. Winds from the north will be at 4-5 Beaufort, with some areas in the north seeing up to 6 Beaufort in the morning. Temperatures will range from 15 to 26°C, with slightly cooler conditions in the north, 3-4 degrees lower.
Thessaly will have scattered clouds that may become more dense at times. Winds will be northerly at 3-4 Beaufort, temporarily shifting to northeasterly at 4-5 Beaufort in the Sporades. Temperatures will be between 9 and 23°C.
In Attica, the weather will be generally clear, though scattered clouds are expected in the northern parts. Winds will blow from the north-northeast at 4-6 Beaufort, reaching up to 7 Beaufort in the east until midday. The temperature will range from 14 to 24°C.
Thessaloniki will see scattered clouds with northerly to northwesterly winds at 3-4 Beaufort, becoming light and variable from midday. Temperatures will vary from 11 to 22°C.
