Todays weather in Greece may not be ideal for a swim, but it won't spoil your Sunday stroll

The weather in Greece on Sunday is expected to be warm, windy and damp, as clouds with showers and thunderstorms expected during midday and afternoon hours, mainly in the mountainous regions of the mainland with winds up to 5-6 points on the Beaufort scale.

Overnight into Monday morning, showers are also expected in parts of Thrace.

Winds in the Ionian Sea will blow northwest at 3-4 Beaufort, while the Central and Southern Aegean will experience winds with intensities up to 5-6 Beaufort. Winds in the Northern Aegean will blow west-southwest at 2-3 Beaufort.

Temperatures will range from 6 to 21 degrees Celsius in Western Macedonia, from 5 to 26 degrees in the rest of Northern Greece, from 5 to 23 degrees in the Epirus region, from 5 to 25 degrees in Thessaly from 10 to 23-24 degrees in the Ionian and from 10 to 25 degrees in the Aegean and Crete.

Attica will be a bit cloudy today, with variable winds blowing at 2-3 Beaufort. Temperatures will range from 15 to 26 degrees Celsius.

Similar conditions are anticipated in Thessaloniki, with temperatures ranging from 15 to 24-25 degrees Celsius.
