More rain showers and storms are forecasted for Greece today, with fairly strong winds in all regions and the presence of African dust.
Local rains of weak to moderate intensity are expected in the Ionian Islands, as in most continental areas, and especially in the Peloponnese, Sterea Ellada region, the island of Evia, the Sporades islands, the region of Thessaly, Macedonia and Thrace.
Local storms are also expected in parts of the Epirus region, western Macedonia, as well as in Crete.
The temperature is expected to reach 24-26 degrees in the west, continental areas and Ionian islands. It will be cooler in the northern parts of the country with the temperature hitting 18-20 degrees and 18-23 in the eastern mainland.
The winds will blow from the northeast at 4-5 Beaufort in the Ionian Islands, while dust from Africa is also expected. Strong north winds will sweep the Aegean sea and its islands, with gusts up to 7-8 Beaufort.
In Attica, clouds are expected with weak to moderate rain showers and a temperature of 15-23 degrees Celsius. Winds will blow northeast 6-7 Beaufort in the surrounding sea areas.
In Thessaloniki, the weather will be cloudy with local rain showers and the temperature will range between 15-20 degrees Celsius. Winds will blow from the south in the Thermaikos gulf.
