The weather in Greece will be cloudy with a good chance of rain and thunderstorms across the country today. Similar phenomena are expected on Clean Monday as well.
Cloudiness will increase in most parts of the country with local showers, heavy rainfall and isolated thunderstorms mainly during midday in the Ionian, mainland areas, and Crete, while there will be gradual improvement in the weather from late afternoon.
Visibility will also be locally limited during the morning and evening hours.
Winds will mainly blow north at 2 to 4 Beaufort, locally reaching 5 Beaufort at sea.
Despite the gloomy weather, temperatures will remain similar, with daily highs of 18 degrees Celsius in the north and 19 degrees Celsius in the rest of the country.

Dense clouds, will hover over the Attica region until the afternoon, while rain and thunderstorms also expected from mid-day on. North northeast winds will blow at 3 to 4 Beaufort. Temperatures will range from 09 to 19 degrees Celsius.
Similar phenomena are expected in Thessaloniki. Variable winds will blow at 3 to 4 Beaufort. Temperatures will range from 07 to 17 degrees Celsius.
Macedonia and Thrace will be cloudy and rainy until the afternoon, when phenomena will gradually improve as the day progresses. East-northeast winds initially at 3 to 4 Beaufort, but variable at 2 to 3 Beaufort from midday. Temperature will range from 04 to 18 degrees Celsius.
Dense clouds will hover over the Ionian, Epirus region, western Mainland and the western Peloponnese, leading to showers, and thunderstorms in the Ionian in the morning and in the mainland from noon on. Phenomena will gradually improve come the late afternoon. Variable winds will blow at 2 to 3 in the mainland, while north-northwest winds will blow at 3 to 4 Beaufort in the Ionian Sea. Temperatures will range from 06 to 18 degrees Celsius. Inland areas of the Epirus region will be 2 to 3 degrees chillier.
Similar phenomena in the eastern Mainland, the Evia region and eastern Peloponnese. Variable winds will blow at 2 to 3 Beaufort and north-northeast winds in the east at 3 to 4 Beaufort. Temperatures will range from 07 to 19 degrees Celsius.
The Cyclades and Crete will be a bit cloudy early in the day, but will become cloudier as the day progresses. Local showers and thunderstorms anticipated mainly in the mountains of Crete. North winds will blow at 3 to 5 Beaufort. Temperature will range from 13 to 19 degrees Celsius.
The Eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese will be a bit cloudy, with more dense clouds hovering over certain regions at times. North winds will blow at 3 to 5 Beaufort. Temperature will range from 13 to 19 degrees Celsius.
