Greece will be hot again today, as the heat wave sweeping the country peaks, with a mix of sun and clouds, and of course, African dust.
The Ionian Islands, in the continental parts of Greece and the north-eastern Aegean will have light clouds, while sunshine will prevail in the southeastern Cyclades and the rest of the country.
The temperature in the west will reach 35-38 degrees Celsius, and in the north it will be 34-36 degrees. The highest temperatures are expected in the eastern continental regions and in the Aegean islands, where it will reach 42 degrees Celsius.
The winds will eventually turn to northwesterlies in the Ionian and Aegean Seas between 3 – 4 Beaufort.
In Attica, there will be a few thin clouds that will be combined with long periods of sunshine. The temperature will be between 28 and 40 degrees Celsius, while locally it may reach 41.
In Thessaloniki, it is also expected to be partly cloudy with sunshine and the temperature will range from 24 to 34 degrees Celsius
