Today, try to stay inside and stay cool, because the forecasted heat wave has arrived in Greece.
A few thin clouds are expected in the northern and western parts of the country and in Crete, but in the rest of the Greece will be sunny.
The temperature in the west will reach 36-37 degrees Celsius, while the north will be hotter, ranging between 38-40 degrees.
The situation will be more difficult in terms of temperature in the eastern parts of the continent, where temps will reach 42 degrees locally. The Aegean islands will be hot as well with the temperature reaching 39 degrees Celsius.
The winds blowing will be south-westerly and in the Ionian and Aegean Seas, which will temporarily reach 5 Beaufort.
In Attica there will be a few thin clouds combined with long periods of sunshine. The temperature will be between 26 and 40 degrees Celsius, while locally it will reach 41.
In Thessaloniki, it is also expected to be partly cloudy with sunshine and the temperature will range from 24 to 38 degrees Celsius.
