Today the weather in Greece will still be hot, but temperatures will cool slightly and even showers and storms are forecast for the northern part of Greece.
The rest of the country will have clear skies and highs will still be up to 38 degrees and many regions, but it will be windy.
The temperature will range from 35-38 degrees Celsius in the western mainland and the Ionian Islands, 34-36 degrees in the north, 36-38 degrees in the eastern mainland areas, while in the Aegean islands, the temperature will range from 35-39 degrees Celsius.
Winds will blow from the northwest in the Ionian at 4-5 Beaufort, while in the Aegean, a northerly wind will blow, reaching up to 7 Beaufort.
Yesterday, Greece recorded its highest temperatures in Stylida, Phtiotis again, at 41.9 degrees Celsius, Thebes at 41.6 degrees and Psachna, Euboea at 41.2 degrees.
In Attica, the day will start with sunshine, while in the afternoon, some rain will occur in the northern parts. The temperature will range from 27 to 38 degrees Celsius, while winds will blow up to 4-6 Beaufort in the Saronic Gulf and 5-6 in the southern Euboea.
In Thessaloniki, showers and rain are expected from the afternoon. The temperature will range from 26 to 34 degrees Celsius, while winds will blow from the north up to 3-4 Beaufort in the Thermaic Gulf.
