The weather in Greece on Friday will be generally good, with clear skies across most of the country.
From the midday and into the afternoon, scattered clouds will develop over the mainland. These will be thinner in the lowlands and denser in the central and northern regions.
Local showers and rain are expected in the mountainous areas of Thessaly and Macedonia until late afternoon. The weather will remain clear on the islands throughout the day.
Temperatures will rise slightly again and will remain above the seasonal norms. They will range around 36 – 38°C in the mainland and island regions and up to 32 – 33°C in the Cyclades and northern Crete.
Winds in the Ionian Sea will be variable at 2 – 4 Beaufort, but from midday onward, they will shift to northerly. In the Aegean Sea, there will be northerly winds with intensities of 3 – 5 Beaufort, locally up to 6 Beaufort in central and southern parts.
Sunny weather will prevail in Attica, with some scattered clouds at midday. The temperature will reach up to 37°C. Northerly winds in the surrounding sea areas will be up to 5 – 6 Beaufort.
In Thessaloniki, the weather will be clear in the morning, but clouds are expected around midday, with local showers and temporary thunderstorms in the surrounding mountainous areas. The temperature will reach up to 35°C, with a mild northerly wind at 3 – 4 Beaufort.
