Today the weather in Greece will be mostly clear, with some chance showers and clouds around midday, which will dissipate by the evening.
By midday, clouds will develop in the mainland, particularly in mountainous regions, where they will be more pronounced. Local showers or brief rainstorms are expected in mountainous areas of the mainland. In the evening, the weather will improve and become clear.
Temperatures will rise slightly, reaching up to 34°C in the west, 35-36°C in the rest of the mainland, and up to 37°C in Thrace. In the Aegean, maximum temperatures will range from 32-35°C.
Winds will blow from northwesterly directions over the seas. In the Ionian Sea, winds will be 3-5 Beaufort, and in the Aegean, locally up to 6 Beaufort.
In Attica, sunny weather is expected, with temporary cloudiness developing in the afternoon and evening, with a slight chance of light local rain, and clear skies at night. The temperature will reach up to 36°C, and the winds in the surrounding sea areas will be northerly, 3-5 Beaufort.
In Thessaloniki, sunny weather is expected with scattered clouds, becoming thicker by midday in the surrounding mountains, where local showers will occur. The temperature will reach up to 34°C, with a north wind in Thermaikos at 2-4 Beaufort.
