The weekend will kick-off on the right foot today, with gorgeous weather in most of the country.
The Ionian islands, Peloponnese, Sterea Ellada, Sporades islands, regions of Thessaly, Epirus, Macedonia, and Thrace, as well as the entire Aegean will be bathed in rays of light.
Some clouds may appear in the Dodecanese islands, as well as in the areas of western Macedonia, Epirus and the northern Ionian Islands. And, some mountainous areas may see a sprinkle of two.
Temperatures will be in the range of 24-25 degrees Celsius in the west, 24-26 in the north, 26-27 in the eastern part of the mainland and just a tad cooler in the Aegean with temperatures around 24 degrees Celsius.
Northwesterly winds will blow across the country and the Ionian and Aegean regions will between 4-5 Beaufort.
In Attica, sunshine is expected throughout the day with a temperature of 13-27 degrees Celsius, and variable winds in the Saronic Gulf.
Thessaloniki will also be sunny with a temperature of 12-25 degrees Celsius. The winds will be northerly, shifting to south winds up to 3-4 Beaufort, locally later on.
