Greece will be mostly sunny and clear today, but stronger winds will lead to lower temperatures in some regions of the country.
The Aegean islands, and central and northern Greece should be cloudless, but western and southern Greece, the Peloponnese, Sterea Ellada, the Cyclades islands and Crete will have thin clouds through most of the day.
Although temperatures will drop by a few degrees, it will still be very warm. Highs will reach 26 degrees Celsius in the eastern mainland, 27 degrees in the north, 28 degrees in the west and between 20–25 degrees in the islands.
Winds will blow from the north and reach as high as 7 Beaufort in central Greece and the northern Cyclades. They will be a bit gentler across the Ionian, between 2–4 Beaufort. Meanwhile the northern part of the country and the Aegean islands will have winds ranging between 4 – 6 Beaufort.
In Attica, sunshine will mostly prevail over the thin clouds expected from midday, and temperatures will be between 14 – 25 degrees Celsius. Winds will be strong, starting between 4 – 6 Beaufort and reaching 7 Beaufort in the eastern part of Attica.
Thessaloniki will also be sunny with temperatures the same as Athens but with weaker winds between 2 – 4 Beaufort.
