According to MEGA TV, local showers are expected in the western and northern parts of Greece, with partial cloud cover in the rest of the country.
Residents in the northwest of Greece should keep their umbrellas handy, as scattered thunderstorms may develop in the Ionian Sea and Epirus regions throughout the day.
By midday, the showers will likely extend to the western parts of Greece and Macedonia but are forecast to dissipate quickly. Sunshine with local clouds is expected for the rest of the country.
Temperatures will reach 24-26°C in the west, 28°C in the north, and 30-31°C in the eastern mainland by midday. Maximum temperatures in the Aegean will not exceed 25-28°C.
Winds will be southwesterly over the seas, ranging from 3-5 Beaufort and up to 6 Beaufort in the western Aegean. In the Dodecanese, a mild northerly wind of 2-4 Beaufort will prevail.
Weather in Attica and Thessaloniki
In Attica, sunshine will dominate with scattered clouds. The temperature will reach 29°C, and winds will blow from the south in the surrounding marine areas at 2-4 Beaufort, increasing to 5 Beaufort in the eastern regions.
In Thessaloniki, cloud cover will temporarily increase, with local showers expected in the surrounding mountains around midday. The temperature will reach 27°C, with light and variable winds in the Thermaic Gulf at 2-3 Beaufort.
