After a relatively sunny weekend, Monday is expected to bring unsettled weather across most parts of Greece, with rain showers and isolated thunderstorms expected in the Ionian Islands, mainland regions, as well as the Aegean Sea.
Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected across most of the country, particularly in the Cyclades, eastern and northern mainland, and the northern Aegean. There is also a risk of hail, especially in the Cyclades and parts of the eastern and northern regions.
The southeastern Aegean will see near-gale to gale-force winds (7-8 Beaufort) from the southeast, while the rest of the Aegean will transition to northeasterly winds (4-5 Beaufort) by evening.
Temperatures:
Mainland: 7-20°C, with slightly cooler conditions in western Macedonia (4-15°C).
Islands & Crete: 11-23°C, with northern Crete seeing the highest temperatures.
Scattered showers are expected in Athens throughout the day with temperatures between 12-20°C.
Rain and brief downpours also forecasted for Thessaloniki, with temperatures ranging from 10-16°C.
The unstable condiτions are set to persist into Tuesday and Wednesday, with localized rain expected in several regions.
