Two earthquakes struck off the coast of Crete on Friday, March 14, 2025. The first tremor was recorded at 5:40 pm (local time), registering 4.8 on the Richter scale in magnitude. Its epicenter was located approximately 70 kilometers south-southwest of Chrysi in the Lasithi region, with a focal depth of 24.7 kilometers.

The second quake was recorded at 6:38 pm (local time), registering 4.5 on the Richter scale in magnitude. This tremor’s epicenter was 23 kilometers south-southwest of Palaiochora in the Chania region, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

According to reports, both earthquakes were felt in various parts of Crete. As of now, there have been no reports of damage or injuries resulting from these earthquakes.
