Traffic restrictions are in effect today, Palm Sunday, April 13, in Athens due to the 8th “Pedion tou Areos Race – In the Neighborhoods of Athens.”
According to an announcement by the Hellenic Police (EL.AS), from 08:00 to 11:00 there will be temporary traffic stoppages and a ban on stopping and parking vehicles on the following streets:
Mavrommateon, along its entire length and on all side streets up to the first parallel road.
Evelpidon, along its entire length and on all side streets up to the first parallel road.
Moustoxydi, along its entire length and on all side streets up to the first parallel road.
Valtinon, along its entire length and on all side streets up to the first parallel road.
Bousgou, along its entire length and on all side streets up to the first parallel road.
Alexandras Avenue, in the section between Moustoxydi and Mavrommateon streets, in the direction toward Patision Street, in the right traffic lane and on all side streets up to the first parallel road.
Pringiponnison, along its entire length and on all side streets up to the first parallel road.
Aglaofontos, along its entire length and on all side streets up to the first parallel road.
Megaloupoleos, along its entire length and on all side streets up to the first parallel road.
Gkyzi Square, along its entire length and on all side streets up to the first parallel road.
Gkyzi Street, along its entire length and on all side streets up to the first parallel road.
Momferatou, along its entire length and on all side streets up to the first parallel road.
P. Ieremiou, along its entire length and on all side streets up to the first parallel road.
Lombardou, along its entire length and on all side streets up to the first parallel road.
Varvaki, along its entire length and on all side streets up to the first parallel road.
The Hellenic Police urges drivers to be especially cautious when passing through the above areas, to follow existing road signs, and comply with traffic officers’ instructions to ensure safety and avoid accidents.
