On this day in 1973, the ruling of Roe v. Wade legalized abortion in the US

In Roe v. Wade, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled unduly restrictive state regulation of abortion as unconstitutional, arguing that it violated women’s constitutional right of privacy. Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court in 2022.
