Tel Aviv Resident Reflects on Missile Attack from Iran

The woman reported that before the missile attack, representatives of the army appeared on television and advised citizens to stay close to their homes from 6 PM.

A Greek-speaking resident of Tel Aviv, described her experience during the missile attack launched by Tehran against Israel on Tuesday, while speaking to MEGA channel.

The woman reported that before the missile attack, army representatives appeared on television and advised citizens to stay close to their homes from 6 PM onwards.

She explained that officials knew that people were out at that time running errands and shopping, ahead of the Jewish celebration of the New Year, Rosh Hashanah, which falls on Wednesday this year.

“I got back home just eight minutes before the chaos began. We won’t say we’re having a ‘black New Year’ because we see miracles happening. We try to see the glass half full. We keep our heads held high; we have God and the army with us,” she said.

She further emphasized that people in Israel deeply want peace; however, engaging in discussions with their enemies remains a challenge.

“Unfortunately, we are used to this. I am 50 years old; I was born into a war, and we are still at war, ” she stated, while expressing her faith in her country’s leader Benjamin Netanyahu, the army, and God.

“However, we feel safe. I want peace, and we all want peace, but with whom can we have discussions? We want lasting peace; we have a small state, and everyone wants this state,” she concluded.
